KATIE GRASDAL

Never in a million years would I have thought I would own a salon. It has been one of my greatest adventures. Education is one of the reasons I love this job. It is ever changing and always keeps me on my toes. I have spent over 10 years traveling north America and even Europe, as an educator and as the student. Working on photo shoots pushes my creativity and keeps me engaged with the every changing trends. In the salon I love working on color, color corrections, barbering, up styling, and some may call me a foil wizard. Lots of foils, a few foils, Balayage you name it. Now owning a salon, I enjoy being home and building this amazing place we call Salon Social. It is my hope every client that walks through our door feels like they are home. We work hard to create a culture that feels warm and friendly. The pride I feel in our growing team is unexplainable. We have come so far since 2018. Growing into the skincare industry has been so interesting. Adding Micro-Current to the list of serves is super exciting. I am the "hair artist" known as Simone. I am a driven Master Stylist, Educator, and Entrepreneur. My passion is working with all types of hair. I love cutting hair from fine, Thick, wavy or very curly hair. I Love making the cut customized to a clients unique style, and hair. I love working with colour correction, vivid fashion colors, balayage,event and bridal styling. I am committed to fostering industry knowledge, educating, supporting, helping, and guiding others towards their passion in this line of work. This Industry has allowed me to travel the world, and keep up with current trends and techniques from all over. I am honoured to have been a finalist for Contessa in 2016, 1 of the top 3 in Canada for Style Masters 2016, and Alberta Hair Stylist Finalist 2019. My successes are a direct result of hard work, dedication. I will continue creating great hair and a unique experience for my clients, and empowering those in my field is why I love what I do!

When I do have free time I enjoy exploring new cafes/ restaurants in and around the city, or finding patios for a good pint. I enjoy adventuring and discovering the beauty of Alberta and Canada when I can. My other hobbies are gardening, tending my acreage, and playing with my two crazy dogs. PAULETTE

Hi, I am Paulette. I am a committed, passionate, and hardworking stylist. I specialize in colour. I’ve always known that I was meant to be in this industry. My career started when I was six years old, and every doll I owned was at my mercy!
In 2001, I made my childhood goal official. Since then, I have worked in a number of high end salons, and later opened up my home salon after the birth of my identical twin daughters, which allowed me to continue what I love to do. Now that they are older, I am ready to reintegrate into the salon environment, where I can work alongside others. This industry is constantly changing, and I enjoy learning, which will allow me to stay focused, and on top of current trends. Creating an amazing experience for my clients is why I love doing hair!

Kiersten - Apprentice

Well Hello! I’m Kiersten, I’ve been a beauty industry guru, fanatic, obsessed human since as long as I can remember. I graduated Hair School in January 2021 but had already been in the hair world for 6 years. I love learning and work with dimensional blondes, vivid fashion colours, Long hair, and mens Hair/Short cutting. I have also been a makeup artist since 2010 having worked for MAC in the past. I’ve worked on multiple fashion shows, photo shoots, music videos, and charity events. I really enjoy being an active part of the community with my crafts. I grew up doing my mother’s hair in our kitchen and was always the girl in the group making over her friends (and brother). I fell in love with this industry for the sheer fact with my very own two hands I can help anyone feel amazing about themselves while putting a piece of myself into creating art.

Besides the love of hair, makeup, anything beauty related really I’m a huge music lover and love checking out everything local here. from second hand shops to craft beer. I also love Coffee and coffee shops. Please tell me all the hidden gems you know. Other then those very important things, I spend the rest of my free time I have Snowboarding, hiking, gardening, true crime-ing and hitting dog parks when its warm. I also LOVE to talk…and to laugh. SO: if you’d love to tell me everything about yourself whilst having a good cup of coffee or beer while I learn and create magic on your head of hair. I’m the stylist for you. I really look forward to meeting you.

HI everyone, i am the original salon dog! Then Mabel came in and wow she has way to much energy. I love to chill out by my mom’s (aka Simone) chair and watch her do her magic. There is nothing better then a cozy blanket so I can curl up and chew my bone.

Hi, I am Mabel. Don’t be upset if I completely ignore you when you come in. I see a lot of people in a day, Which I secretly love but I like to play hard to get. I will probably just be sleeping or chewing my bone. I love it when kids come in or if your jacket smells like other dogs and treats. Just a heads up, hang up our purse. I do like to see if there is anything in there for me. Can’t wait to see you all soon!
